Direct lakefront retreat with a private beach, dock and fire pit on the Great Sacandaga. Adirondack Lakefront Retreat on the Great Sacandaga Reservoir located in Northampton, NY is a beautiful one acre property with 141 feet of lake frontage with 2 seasonal wood cabins and a 2 family home.
Enjoy the ENTIRE property during the summer months for total privacy and to reconnect with family and friends. There is nowhere else quite like this to view early morning sunrises and beautiful evening sunsets.
Right from your doorstep you have access to swimming, boating and fishing all summer long. The retreat offers a large, gently sloping yard and a sandy beach for all ages as well as a fire pit for nighttime storytelling & star gazing. A private boat dock and mooring buoy allows you to bring a boat or 2 or you have the option of renting one, if you wish, to explore the beautiful lake and its many islands.
There is plenty of room to roam on the property for endless fun and outdoor relaxation. Picnic tables, a sandbox and swing set for children and a volleyball net on the grass, as well as a horseshoe pit will keep all ages busy. A fantastic game room is located off the cabins and features a pool table, air hockey, foosball, comfy seating and a flat screen tv. A ping pong table is located at the outdoor covered patio of the main house along with additional seating.
EACH unit has its own fully stocked kitchen, outdoor gas grill, bedrooms, full bathroom with stand-up shower and living/dining areas. There are a total of 9 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The cabin's enclosed porch is perfect for relaxing/dining together with plenty of seating and an amazing lake view. There is even a dry bar for the adults.
Property is near Saratoga Springs, Lake George and Cooperstown for great day trips.

Summary: Mary met us there when we arrived and was great in explaining everything we needed to know. There were 12 of us, we were celebrating milestone birthdays. We had plenty of space for everyone and we didn't need for anything. We had so much to do there that we didn't even go out to explore, we stayed put and had so much fun! It was absolutely perfect I highly recommend this and we're thinking of going back again some day. Thanks Mary!!

Summary: We just got back from this trip. We went with 5 families that our sons play baseball together. We had an amazing time from start to finish. The location on the lake is absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to do it again!

Summary: I really can’t say enough about how wonderful this property is. Mary was absolutely wonderful to work with. Always so quick to respond to any of my trivial questions! Even let us come out several weeks early to check out the layout in order to help us figure out who would go where! The set up of 4 separate “apartments” was ideal! Each family had their own fridge and fully stocked kitchen.(Although do remember to bring all cooking items needed like spices, cooking sprays, foils etc.) The common area with all of the tables was where we set up food items to share! What a perfect place for playing cards, games and puzzles! There are so many great gathering areas. In the morning you would find the early risers sitting down in the Adirondack chairs reading. Then we would gravitate up to the covered patio area to share some coffee and breakfast items. At night we’d hang out in the common area and some night enjoyed some multi generational family fun in the game room playing pool, air hockey and foosball. My favorite was reliving my college days playing Ms. PAC-MAN! Of course we usually ended the evening with a relaxing gathering by the fire pit! One overcast day we took a nice ride into Northville, a cute little town with a great Five and Dime general store! On sunny days we bounced around from the various water toys that Mary provides! Kayaks, paddle boat, canoes and the kids favorite - the floating mat! By the end of our week we all were talking about coming back again!

Summary: The room and bed count was a little unclear in the posting. But it turned out to have plenty of room. We were able to accommodate two boats which I appreciated. The host was very friendly. Everything was clean. We are likely to repeat at some point. Thanks Mary The Tenison’s

Summary: We had 11 adults with us, three generations of family. The property is fantastic. There are lots of open shared areas for meals and visiting, but also spaces where night owls and early birds can do their thing without bothering the others. Tons of stuff to do. The lake is gorgeous. Everything is clean as a whistle. We will definitely be coming back!

Summary: This was our 13th annual vacation with our family in the Adirondack region. The Adirondack Lakefront Retreat was a new location for us this year due to our growing family. We found the facility very well kept, a wonderful large beachfront with sandy shallow access for little ones and the grounds were huge and we were able to take advantage of the area for multiple yard games. There was also a nice play area for the little ones with the sandbox and climbing set with slide. The interior facilities we're well kept and we had plenty of supplies for meal preparation. One of the nicest features was all the seating available both indoors and outdoors for our large meal gatherings and for gameplay. We will definitely want to return again as we all had a very nice week away together.

Summary: Our group was comprised of 4 families from one large, extended family- Mom/Gramma, her 4 children and their families. At one point there were 23 of us! This worked out great because each of the families had their own space including separate kitchen, bathroom, and grill, and yet we were all together! The yard is large and perfect for playing games and gathering at the tables. We enjoyed the fire pit a few different nights (all of the wood is provided), used the volleyball net and badminton rackets... The beach is incredible! The lake is so clean and the dock was easy to access. We loved hanging out in the water and floating/swimming every day. Mary advised us so that we could rent a pontoon boat for our stay ahead of time. We truly loved pontooning and tubing on the lake all week! Each night we ended up on the tables in the long cottage that are screened in (Large and Small mouth bass). The tables were perfect for games, cards, puzzles, and potluck meals. We ended up calling that area "the lobby" because we spent so much communal time there together! The laundry is more up to date than listed, with a large front load washer and dryer- no coins were needed! We were close to town for souvenirs for the kids and there were multiple choices for our groceries, etc. This is the ideal property for a large group comprised of all ages. We were never bored. The teens loved the game room and we were private enough that we could get noisy with our karaoke at night and not worry about disturbing neighbors. It seems like Mary has thought of everything... There was every kind of dish/pan/crockpot that you could need, and there was extra propane for the grills. I could go on and on! We can't stop thinking about the beach/yard and how wonderful it was! We are already making plans to return!

Summary: The property was immaculate. Very well maintained. Private beach with plenty of water toys. Private dock for the boat that we rented. Game room for "kids" of all ages. Kitchens with everything that you need. Plenty of room for a large group to get together, or to be by yourself if you want. Our host was great. Meeting us when we arrived to give us a tour and explain everything. She was just a phone call away. We have stayed at many places in the past, but this was the best value for money. Our group included people from 7 to 70+ years old. We all loved it. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. We will definitly be going back!

Summary: We're 5 families (20 people total) who vacation together in the Adirondacks every year and this is the best place we've stayed yet. We were left wanting for nothing as this place is equipped with everything we needed. A huge yard overlooking the lake with beach area and dock, with toys, kayaks and game room provided ample entertain for all the kids in our group (10 total). Mary, the owner, was readily available and there when we needed anything, and went above and beyond expectations. We'll definitely be booking again for net summer.
